RESEDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Tuesday, Aprh. sth, 1887. (Before J. S. Clendon, Esq., KM.) cossiLL v. munn. T\2r Steadman appeared for the plaintiff. This was a claim for cash lent, £11. Judgment by default, costs 21/, Solicitor's fee 21/. WHITELAW V. JOHNSON. Mr Carruth and Mr Killen appeared for defendant, Mr Whitelaw in person. This was a claim for payment of metal taken from plaintiff's land. Defendant's Solicitors applied for an adjournment, which plaintiff strongly opposed. After some considerable argument, the Bench decided to grant adjournment until the 29th inst., the cost of the adjournment to abide the issue. WHITELAW AND DAY V. WALLBANT. This was a claim for £6 3/10. Judgment by default, with 10/ costs. WHITELAW AND DAY VS. J. B. POWLESLAND. This was a claim of £3 8/10 for freight, which was disputed. Judgment was given for £2 17/6 and 10/ costs.
