Wanganui Branch

The annual m Getting ot the Wanganui Branch of the N.Z. Labour Party was held on Wednesday, June 14. Mr. J. Ross (president) presided over a gratifying attendance, and a number of new members wer c given a cordial welcome. The report cf the National Secretary wn,s well received, and Mr. T. Tanner presented the annual balance sheet of the Branch. Mattiers affecting the future welfare of the Branch were discussed. Be.for, e proceeding to the election of officers for .the ensuing year, tho members present expressed their appreciation, a-ttd thanks for the praiseworthy way in which the* President and Secretary had carried out their duties under trying circumstances. The Praisliie'nt and Secretary suitably replied. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. Ross; vice-president, Mr. E. Foster; Sec-retary-treasurer, Mr. W. J. Rogera; executive committee, Messrs. A. Clark, P. Clark, T. Wakely, and H. Lawrence; hon. auditor, Mr. _", P. WUliamson.
