Mr. J. E. MaGManus, writing, fxwn Dunedin, says: — "1 was nominated by several Unions to contest a parliamentary seat. It was decided by the Labor Representation Committee that I should be pitted against the Hon. J. T. Paul. Needless to state the Hon. Gentleman, being President of t n e Party, was selected.
