RULE I.—OBJECTS.

OaiuM I.—To oreate and maintain » Fond for iuoh purposes, ia harmony

with and promotive of tho objects ok this Federation, as shall approve themselves to the Executive Committee thereof. Clause 2. —To improve the conditions and protect tho interests oi the moiiibers of the Federation by increasing tho proportionate share of tho wealth of the workers, shortening the hours oi labor, and endeavouring to educate tor the complete abolition of the present wage system, and tho substitution oi the common ownership of tho means of production. Clause 3.—To secum employment of our members in preference to nonunionists ; to maintain ti spirit of fraternal sympathy with tho workers of this and other countries by assisting thorn when neoessaryw Clause 4.—To use our united efforts to discourage- tho contract labor and bonus system, aJid as soon as possible to abolish these, believing the said systems to bo detrimental to tho best intorests of organised labor. Clause 5. —To enable find provide for the Federation to own, publish, and control a weekly newspaper. Clause 6.—To ensure to members who are proved -to have been unjustly treated the support of tho Federation.
