THE BULLER CONTEST.
Sir,—-I regret you did not see fit to publish my last letter, but hope this will, meet, with a better fate, as we consider our paper is the proper place to ventilate our grievances and prevent their repetition. I and quite a number of other members of the Federation consider that we . have been betrayed, and. that by our most trusted officials, seeing that 90 per cent, of local unionists worked and voted for Munro. Yet our Federation officials, who should have helped us, did all they could . against us and our candidate, who is one of the best men in tho colony and would have been a tower of strength to our cause. They helped the cause of our opponent, who is a nonentity and a blind follower of the present rotten Government. We yield to none in admiration and respect for our Federation, and expect great things from it, but we will not allow even.it to dictate to us in our local affairs, of which we claim to bo the best judges. I may tell you that in most of the local unions a vote of censure will be moved on Dowgray, Semple, Webb,, and Glover for their action during the late Buller election. —Yours, "UNIONIST.
