The Tuapeka West branch' of the Women’s Division of the N.Z. Farmers’ Union held it first meeting of the year last week when Miss Belcher presided over a good attendance of members. The Roll call was “My Most Awkward Moment,” to which most of the members confessed that they had been fortunate enough to escape such a predicament. During the social half hour guessing the names of songs (a few bars being played on the piano) was indulged in but unfortunately (says our correspondent) the result proved that the musical talent of the district is slipping back.
