New Zealand butter is now fetching in the London market the highest price for years, 146/- per cwt. Adding 25 per cent for exchange this is equivalent to 182/6 per cwt in New Zealand currency, or 1/8 M per lb. 'This is much above the guaranteed price, and should help to wipe out tha defied in last years’ butter account.
