Wairarapa Bowling Centre's Visit

40 PLAYERS COMING ON SATURDAY.

Wairarapa Bowling Centre teams are to visit the Manawatu centre at Palmerston North on Saturday next, December Ist. Visits between the two centres were an annual event previous to the war, the first visit by Wairarapa to Manawatu being on November 12th, 1914.

The Wairarapa Centre is sending 40 players on this visit and matches will be played both in the morning and afternoon. The Manawatu Centre have made excellent arrangements for the enjoyment of their guests during this visit. Mr. J. K. Patou, the president, ia taking a keen interest in his duties as president of the local centre, and has matters well in hand for Saturday.

The draw for play on Saturday of local centre clubs is as follows:

Manawatu green, 10.90 a.m.: Takaro, Feilding and Terrace End, one four each; Manawatu, two fours.

Hokowhitu green, 10.90 a.m.: Terrace End, Hokowhitu and Northern, one four each; Palmerston North, two fours.

Prior to the morning games the visitors will be entertained at morning tea by the executive at the Palmerston North green where Mr. Patou, thp president, will welcome the visitors.

Afternoon at 2 p.m.—Terraco End green: The local centre clubs will be represented as follows: Pahiatua, Shannon, Palmerston North, Dannevirke, Foxton, Takaro, Woodvillc, Terrace End, Manawatu and Hokowhitu.
