Lack of Vigour in Opposition Alleged

Received Thursday, 7.5 pm. LONDON, Nov. 22. Mr. Churchill attended a meeting or Conservative members in the House oi Commons which discussed whether the Opposition was attacking the Government sufficiently fiercely and wholeheartedly, says the Press Association’s political correspondent. He adds than it was rumoured that Mr. Churchill’s leadership might be Assailed. The meeting divided into two groups—firstly, those who declared that the Opposition required more virility and ginger; secondly, old campaigners who favoured far-sighted policies, instead of immediate “rough and tumble.” It is believed there were crisp exchanges during the meeting, as when the critics were told that, if they could not be taught sense, they should at least be taught manners.
