Mrs. S. Heappy, a very early settler, formerly of Halcombe and now of New Plymouth, celebrates her 100th birthday tomorrow. Mr. R. Girling Butcher, Inspector of Fire Brigades, and Mr. H. R. Brown, of the Fire Service Branch of the Internal Affairs Department visited Palmerston North yesterday. Sergeant F. Fuller, at present at the Wellington Central Police .Station, is under transfer to the Palmerston North Central Station, where he will take up duty in succession to Sergeant C. McRae, who was recently transferred to Wairoa.
