Whakarongo Y.F.C.
Mr. I. G. Tabor presided over the monthly meeting of the Whakarongo Y.F.C., one new member being enrolled. Seventeen junior and two senior members were present. The speaker for the evening was Mr. J. Spall who gave an interesting talk on shelter trees and hedges in this district. A report was given by the chairman on the three meetings he had attended during the month. The Manawatu District Committee meeting, the meeting of the Wellington Council of the Federation of Young Farmers, and the Dominion Executive Committee meeting. A schedule was arranged and donations received from Messrs E. Johanson, D. Astwood and I. Tabor towards the prizemoney of the vegetable section of the Whakarongo Women’s Institute Flower Show. The next meeting is to be held on Monday, December 10.
