Mrs. A. Fisher, of Melbourne, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. E. L. Green, of Featherston Street, is now visiting her sister, Mrs. T. Budden, of Sumiftr, Christchurch.
When Mrs. D. Hallam, Wanganui, recently celebrated her birthday, her son, granddaughter and six grandsons were present at her home in Brunswick Road, Aramoho, after serving with the forces. Congratulatory telegrams were sent by three grandsons who are still overseas. Mr. Hallam was also congratulated on reaching the good age of 83 years. Mrs. Hallam received many beautiful flowers sent by women’s organisations. Small Jane Gifford, a great-granddaughter, presented her with a bouquet from the family.
