Second Games Started Saturday Afternoon

The second series of games in the Manawatu Cricket Association’s competitions began on Saturday afternoon, a strong wind, approaching gale force at times, making playing conditions unpleasant. SENIOR GRADE. PALMERSTON V. KIA TOA. For Palmerston in the senior grade match against Kia Toa at the Sportsground, Downes gave a great bowling performance, taking six wickets at a cost of only 23 runs.
