Endeavour to Improve Hess’ Memory
LONDON, Nov. 9. Hess last night was shown a film of himself and other Nazis to try to improve his memory, says Reuter’s Nuremberg correspondent. He said he recognised Goering and others when he heard their names mentioned, and added: “I must have been there, but I don’t remember."
British Headquarters in Berlin have announced that Field-Marshal August von Mackensen, who commanded the German armies on the Eastern Front and later in the Balkans in tho first World War, has died at the age of 96 on his estate near Celle.
