Britain to Recognise Albanian Administration
Received Sunday, 8.30 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 11. The Foreign Office announced that Britain had decided to recognise the present Albanian administration on the understanding that it was their intention to hold free elections at an early date, so that a truly representative Government may bo formed. A Note addressed to the Albanian administration also stipulated maintenance of the freedom of the Press.
The Moscow radio broadcast Mr. Bevin a House of Commons speech fairly fully but omitted the passages referring to ‘the position so often blared from the Moscow radio," and to a Great Power wanting to “cut right across the throat of the British Commonwealth."
