MR. A. R. BARTLETT, KIMBOLTON Following a lengthy illness Mr. Allan Robert Bartlett, a well-known and popular farmer of “Kowhai,” Kimboltou, passed away at his home on June 21. Bon of tho late {Samuel and Charlotte Bartlett, he was born at Upper Tutaenui, Marton, 72 years ago and spent his early life in tho Rangitikei district. His marriage to Miss Billian Eng took place at Rata. The late Mr. Bartlett was farming in the Kimbolton district for o'ver 40 years and, being of a genial disposition, had a wide circle of friends. Innis younger days he was a keen footballer and later an enthusiastic supjiorter of the game. The funeral services at the residence and at the Kimbolton cemetery were conducted by Rev. F. E. Fleury, and a large gathering of relatives and friends attended to show their sympathy- to Mrs. Bartlett, her sons, Clive and Walter, and daughter, Mrs. T. F. Henshaw. Amongst tffe many beautiful flowers were wreaths from Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and members of tho Rangitikei Club (Feilding). Tho pall-bearers were Messrs T. F. Henshaw, T. H. Brown C. Bartlett, 11. Bartlett, T. T. Bartlett and W. T. Pratt.
