Lifting Wartime Control “Under Consideration”

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 11. When the cabled announcement of the liftiug of wartime controls in Britain aud America was referred to him to-day the Acting Prime Minister (Hon. Walter Nash) said that the subject of controls in New Zealand had been receiving consideration for some time. Mr. Nash added that those controls exclusively associated with the war were being very carefully examined to see which were required to be continued and which could be repealed. It might be some time before all the wartime controls could la? lifted, but the matter was under consideration.
