Horse Float Fees Reduced In view of the prevailing petrol restrictions and tlie fact that horse floats have been able to cover only a small proportion of the mileago of prewar days, it has been decided to reduco the heavy traffic fees paid by their owners by 50 per cent. An amendment to the Heavy Motor Vehicle Emergency Regulations giviug effect to this decision has been gazetted. More Produce Growers The effect of organisation among the market gardeners of the Dominion was pointed out at a meeting of the Mana watu Produce Growers’ Association. The president (Mr. A. G. Brock) said that at present there were 2895 registered market gardeners in New Zealand, including Chinese growers, and so the area under cultivation could well be imagined. There were about 50 registered growers in the Manawatu district.
