AOKATJTERE Mrs. Mackie presided in May -when arrangements were made for a paddy’s market to be held on May 26, members promising produce and goods, and there will be a juinblo stall, always an attraction. There is to be a change in the flower section making two classes for blooms, class I, bloom up to four inches in diameter; class 11, bloom over four inches. Competitions resulted:— Apron, Mrs. Phelan 1, Mrs. Chower 2, Mrs. Mackie 3; four chrysanthemums, Miss Anderson X, Mrs. P. Field 2, Mrs. Orr and Miss F. Orr equal 3. June competitions will be a child’s petticoat and a day spray of berries. Hospital visitors are Mesdames Hyde and Hurst. The penny competition, donated by Mrs. Mackie, was won by Mrs. Lanlcshear. Next month’s competition will be donated by Mrs. K. Brill. The hostesses will be Mesdames T. Crowe, A. Hopcroft and Brink water.
