Thompson commenced her duties as assistant at the school on resumption after the holidays. Airs. M. Roper, Miss T. Masters and Messrs. T. aud E. piasters spent a short ! holiday at Manawatu Heads. | Mr. and Mrs. K. Bailey have returned after an extended tour of the !youth Island. I Misses D. Ellery, L. Henderson and J. Vile have returned to college in Wanganui. j Recent guests of Air. and Airs. H. ' Ellery were Air. and Mrs. P. H. Barjnard,*’ of Palmerston North, Aliss Joan Dalzicl, of Ohingaiti, Airs. tS. Newnham I and Aliss J. Newnham, of {Shannon. Air. and Mrs. Sanson and family have taken up residence in the district. Mr. Sanson has succeeded Air. L. Sadler as engineer in charge of the County Council metal crushing plant. Air. and Airs. L. Sadler have removed to Kakariki where Air. Sadler has taken charge of the Rangitikei County Council’s metal crushing plant. Mrs. T. Redpath and family have returned to Auckland after being the guests of Air. and Mrs. H. Redpath. Air. H. Ellery presided over the meeting of the school committee. Also present were Alessrs. D. Capstick, B. Henderson, P. Richardson and the headteacher (Air. I. N. Leet). It was decided to hold the school picnic in the grounds of Mr. H. Ellery and arrangements were made to ensure an enjoyable outing for all. Prizes for the races were donated by Aliss D. Ellery, M. Ellery, Air. P. Richardson and Air. D. Capstick. It was decided to have the school grounds put in order by having the grass mown.
