Need for Tyre Retreading The need for the private motorist having the benefit of tyre retreading was urged by Mr. W. H. Brown, presi dent, at a meeting of the Automobile Association (Manawatu) last night. At present only motorists who hold petrol licenses can get retreads. Mr. Brown said it was bad economy of the worst degree to let private car tyres go any further without retreading. It simply meant that tyres lit for retreading were still being used and it would not be long before they would be completely ruined, whereas if these tyres were permitted to have B grade' retreads they would be saved for many thousands of miles additional running.
