The Feilding RjS.A.’s annual reunion is set down for this evening in the Feilding Drill HalL At a meeting of the committee of the Rangitikei Club, Feilding, on Thursday night, it was agreed to invest £SOO in the Victory Loan. A new by-law to control wandering dogs has been passed by the Feilding Borough Council. The by-law makes it an offence for dogs to be at large in the town within a defined area which includes the shopping centre.

Feilding Old Boys to play Petone at the Racecourse, Feilding, this afternoon at 3 p.m.:—Pollard, Koneven, Jenkins, Wilson, Kumeroa, Littler, McNae, Dais Reid, Byrnes (2), Davies, McNae, Adams, Ross, Judd, Wapp, Te Wherio, Haydon, Huddlestone.

Some interesting statistics relating to Feilding were given by Cr. A. C. Buist at Thursday’s meeting of the Borough Council. He said that the total number of streets was 76, which represented 31$ miles. Sixteen miles were sealed, 14$ miles metal, and one mile unformed. There wore 18 miles of tarred footpath and 8 miles of concrete footpath, while 5$ miles of footway remained unsealed; comprising kerbing and channelling only. The demand for the latest literature at the Feilding Municipal Library has never been greater and Thursday’s meeting of the Borough Council resolved to enter into arrangements for the purchase of 12 of the latest publications monthly in addition to existing arrangements. Cr. Mclnnese said that he anticipated that this system would result in Feilding securing a constant supply of new books direct from London publishing houses.
