Tighter Rationing of Meat and Cream

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. i. Commenting to-day ou the recent amendment to the Rationing Emergency Regulations, which provides that all meat, with the exception of farmers’ killings for homo consumption, now comes under rationing control, the Minister of Supply (Mr. Sullivan) said the restriction particularly concerned hotels and institutions which maintain their own farms for supplying their meat. The Minister said that additions had been made to the rationing offences to include aiding and abetting and the making of untrue and misleading statements, and the offence of a servant is now deemed to have been committed by an employer or principal. The amendment also tightens nip the cream restrictions to the extent that it is now an offence to use or supply cream except under a permit.
