Alexander’s Orders To Italian Patriots
Received Sunday, 8.35 p.m. LONDON, May 28. General Alexander’s Headquarters have ordered Italian patriots to Impede German troops moving south along the west coast of Italy between the Tevere and Arno rivers, says the Algiers radio. The order stated that the Allies were relying on the patriots for the most minute details of German movements, also about Germans remaining behind. Opportunities for action against Fascists and Germans left behind will be offered to patriots, but the hour for mass movement has not yet struck. Patriots, without coming out too much into the open, should intensify their action against Germans and Fascists wherever possible.
