Museums and Education Decision to submit to tho educational conference to bo held in Christchurch in August a memorandum by tho director of the Auunland War Memorial Museum, Dr. Gilbert Archey, was made at a meeting of tho Auckland Institute and Museum Council. In the memorandum the director outlined the past school and adult participation in museum activities, and indicated to what extent they could be extended iu conjunction with the activities of the adult education movement. The council affirmed its close interest in the opportunity for public service through the adult education movement and offered assistance within its scope and resources. It was also decided to ask the Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, to have museums represented at the conference.
