C. L. MOWLEM WILL INTRODUCE NEW BLOOD INTO THE CITY COUNCIL AND A NEW OUTLOOK VOTE MOWLEM (Voters' Tvho desire to vote for me should put fin X at the end of my name)

LETTER TO THE ELECTORS. TYEAR CITIZENS,— 1-7 I make a final appeal to you to support my candidature for tlio Palmerston North City Council. I did not catch the Judges’ eyes when the Citizen Ticket was selected, but no races are won until the numbers go up. Many a good horse has been omitted from the card and run into a place. I do not support domination by any party in Civic affairs. To-day, morn than ever before, is the time for unity and mutual understanding; we should all work with one end in view, the happiness and prosperity of our fair City, with clear and definite planning to make this City fit for our Returned Servicemen to live in. If elected I feel that even against political opponents, such harmony can be fostered for the good of all. In this contest for Municipal honours I have been priviledged to have my name coupled with Mr. Campbell Aitcliison, a tried and proved performer. The bracket runs a fair and honest race. Don’t forget the double with one leg dropped from the card. Yours faithfully, C. Y. CIOCHETTO. TO THE ELECTORS OF RONGQTEA RIDING, MANAWATU.
