Miss Bello Mitchell, who has been spending a vacation in Auckland, returns home to-day.
Miss D. Vivian, of Christchurch, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Wareham, Hopelands. L.A.C. A. T. (Bert) Walker is spending leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Walker, Woodville. Pilot-Officer D’Arcy Wareham is spending leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Wareham, Hopeiands.
Mrs. and Miss Johns, *of Matamata, are visitors to Mr. and Mrs. R. Bly, of Woodlands Road, Woodville.
Miss McWilliams, of Palmerston South, is the guest of Mrs. W. Wilson, McLean Street, Woodville. Mrs. G. Morgan and son Graham, leave to-day for a holiday at Paekakariki.
Mrs. Fielden-Taylor, of Wellington, is the guest of her brother, Dr. P. H. Mules, VVoodville. Miss Patricia Nelson, of Christchurch, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Nelson, Woodville. Mr. G. Court, of New Plymouth, who has been on a visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Court, Woodlands Road, left for Gisborne last Thursday. Misses D. Fitt and K. Duggan, both of Auckland are spending a week or two as tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ware, of Gorge Road, Woodville. Mrs. C. Court and Margaret have left for the Hutt, accompanied by Mrs. W. Quinn, who has been in Woodville visiting her mother, Mrs. Lawrence.
A son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Smith, VVoodville—G. McLean, of Hawera —has been reported wounded in the latest casualty list.
Cpl. C. Forbes returned to his unit last Tuesday after a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Forbes, Grant Road. His wife, who stayed on, has now left for Waipukurau.
Mrs. T. G. Short, sister of Mr. N. Gilbert, Napier Road, is visiting her brother and sister-in-law. Before her marriage, Mrs. Short was resident in this district.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Dunstall, of Masterton Road, have with them for a holiday their two daughters, Mrs. R. Fletcher ,and daugnter Jill, of Auckland, and Mrs. S. Smith and her three children, of Frankton Junction.
Mrs. David Nelson and ncr daughter (late of Singapore), who spent the week-end in Woodville as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. VV. H. Nelson, “Laureston,” Woodville, have returned to Napier.
