Mrs. A. Grigor, Fitchett Street, who has visiting her son, Dr. Renton Grigor, Auckland, and daughter, Mrs. Kingsley Brown, Pukekohe, has returned to Palmerston North.
Mrs. Mary Ann Coleman, whose death occurred at the age of 93 years, 'was one of New Plymouth’s oldest residents. She was the widow of Mr. Robert Coleman. Mr. and Mrs. Coleman, who were the oldest married couple at New Plymouth, had beeu married 72 years at the time of Mr. Coleman’s death in February of this year at the age of 94 years. Mrs. Coleman left England with her husband and three children nearly 60 years ago, travelling in the Duke of Devonshire to Queensland. Mr. Coleman worked at Brisbane and Melbourne before arriving at New Plymouth in 1592, where he was the oldest established builder at the time of his death. Mrs. Coleman is survived by four sons, Messrs. A. J. Coleman (Auckland), F. A. Coleman (New Plymouth), W. K. Coleman (Palmerston North) and C. Coleman (New Plymouth), and one daughter, Mrs. M. A. McKee (New Plymouth). There are several grand children and a number of greatgrandchildren.
