Plunket Committee Considers Month’s Work

Mrs. G. C. Petersen prosided over tho September meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the Plunket Society. The Plunket nurse (Miss K. H. Thomas) reported that there had been a total of 1714 visits to office (adults 1886, babies 738, pre-school children 90;. There had been 273 visits to homes and there were 60 new cases. Dr. D. Cook had visited the rooraß and immunised children for diphtheria. One baby had ooen admitted to the Karitane Hospital, Featherston. Flowers for the rooms were gratefully acknowledged from Mesdames H. Scott, JR. Edwards and W. G. Black. Four visits had been paid to Foxton where visits to office totalled ! 177 (adults 87, babies 72, pre-school children 18). There were three new cases. Sales for the month of karilac, etc., amounted to £3 19s sd, subscriptions £7 Os 6d, accrued from money box £1 12s sd, making a total of £l2 12s 4d—- ! tho report was adopted. A grant of j£so from tho Macarthy Trust was ] gratefully acknowledged.
