How Enemies Regard War Anniversary
LONDON, Sept. 2. The Japanese spokesman Hori in a . statement on the fourth year of the war is quoted by the Berlin radio as ! saying: “The longer the war lasts the more favourable will the situation become to our side. Our situation is unassailable strategically and economically. Time is our great ally because it enables us to transform into fighting strength our large resources and vast reserves of manpower.’’ i The German News Agency deputy' Press chief Suendermann, in a statement on the anniversary of the outbreak of the war, said: ‘‘A phase of the war is now in sight when further sacrifices will have to be made. Germany is lighting confident of the security of her position.”
