Veterans’ Golf at Rotorua
Playing in the New Zealand Veterans’ golf tournament on the Rotorua Golf Club’s course, A. Anderson (Palm erston North) had a net score of 67 in the first qualifying round, in which D. F. McCormick (Maungakiekie) led with 63. A. Downer (Rotorua and formerly of Palmerston North) took 70 net, and J. T. Rogerson (Rotorua and formerly of Palmerston North) 72. In the second qualifying round, Anderson took 76 net, making his aggregate 143, and he went into tho Arikikapakapa Cup list, as did Downer, who took 74 in the second qualifying round. Rogerson improved well to card a 67, giving him a place in the Veterans’ Cup play with an aggregate of 139. E. Tuko (Titirangi) lea the qualifying rounds with 70— 67—137, McCormick taking 76 in the second round. In the quarter finals, G. H. Scott beat J. T. Rogerson 3 and 2. In the Ariki kapakapa Cup, A.
