Quite a Different Story

la marked contrast to previous anniversaries, tke German radio stations all day yesterday did not mention the fourth anniversary of the beginning of the war. In previous years the German network worked at full blast with special talks and feature programmes, hut cn this occasion the talks were confined to informing the German people of the hard necessity of the retreats in Russia and bolstering morale against Allied bombings. Solemn music predominated.
