No Special Announcements In Churchill Broadcast
Received Tuesday, 7.30 p.m, QUEBEC, Aug. SO. The British spokesman told the Canadian Press Agency that Mr. Churchill’a speech will not contain any special announcements but will deal “in a general way with a number of things." After the broadcast Mr. Churchill is lunching with Mr. Mackenzie King who arrived with the War Cabinet for the second meeting since Mr. Churchill’« visit to Canada. President Roosevelt returned to Washington to-day and immediately conferred with military. State and diplomatic officials, apparently preparing for a renewal of discussions with Mr. Churchill. Among those conferring with President Roosevelt to-day were Dr. Boong, Mr. Cordell Hull and Generals Marshall and Arnold.
