Pride in Motherhood
Addressing the Wanganui Rotary Club, Dr. Duncan Cook, of Palmerston North, said it was essential that for the future welfare of the nation young married people should have a due understanding of their responsibilities. Motherhood should have an honoured place in the life of the country, aud a mother with a. family should be looked upon with pride. National War Savings Last week ISO towns attained or exceeded their national war savings quotas. All but one of tho 18 principal centres were successful and in 10 out of the IS postal districts the full district quota was obtained. Twentyfive towns now have 90 or more quota successes to their credit, while nine towns each with 9S successes share the distinction of an unbroken record since the inception of the quota scheme in October 3941.
