When the vast majority of grownup New Zealanders are of one mind ou a subject, such a degree of uuauimity indicates a deep-rooted conviction. At the last Election 643,126 electors gave an overwhelming verdict against prohibition, for the following reasons: 3. New Zealand must vote against prohibition which has so thoroughly demonstrated its calamitous results. It can no longer be regarded as a serious issue.
2. New Zealand cannot afford to squander millions to provide additional proof of an acknowledged universal failure.
3. Ameiica gave prohibition a thorough trial, lasting fourteen years, and costing billions of dollars. Repeal was carried by the biggest majority ever recorded On any question. 4. All the world has rejected prohibition. New Zealand has done so on every occasion, each timo more emphatically than the last. On Elec lion Day, vote Continuance—strike out the two bottom lines. Hold fast to Liberty. —*
