Dutch Doctors’ Warning to Nazis

LONDON, July 6. The Germans are attempting to break the resistance of Dutch doctors by sending hundreds of them to concentration camps and confiscating their property, says Reuter’s Stockholm correspondent. Many doctors have gone into hiding and their surgeries have been sealed up.

These reprisals follow the issue of a manifesto warning the Reich Commissioner, Dr. Seyss-Inquart, of the bitterness he is creating. Doctors in all parts of Holland joined in support of the manifesto. The doctors declared that many Dutch youths died miserably in concentration camps after refusing to work in Germany. They pointed out that many Dutch people are threatened with starvation and death from undernourishment, while food is being sent to Germany.
