Congratulations to Pahiatua
His Worship the Mayor of Pahiatua, Mr. S. J. Judd, on Tuesday received congratulations from the Prime Minister, Hon. Peter Fraser, Mr. T. N. Small wood, chairman of the National Savings Committee and from the Palmerston North Executive of the N.Z. War Loan Committee, on the achievement of the district in reaching the target before any other centre of the Palmerston North area. Mr. Fraser’s telegram reacj as follows: “Your telegram received; glad to learn that Pahiatua first in Palmerston North Postal District to reach and exceed quota Third Liberty Loan and desire to extend -to citizens and coiumitteo warm congratulations of Govern ment on very fine achievement. Kind regards. P. Fraser.” Mr. Smallwood wired: “Heartiest congratulations. Keep on with the good work.” The Palmerston North Executive sent “congratulations on obtaining your target and considered a great effort.”
