R.A.F. Strafes Japanese Troops in Burma

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Mar. 9. Au Indian war communique states that during the past few days, ini an effort to relieve the pressure on their fronts,, some smail Japanese units infiltrated westward from the lvaladan River, in North-west Burma, and had taken up positions along the forest ridge between Ivanzauk and Auktaungbyin. Ivanzauk is about 20 miles north-east of Eathedaung. “On March 8, R.A.F. bombers and fighters made several attacks on this ridge with good results. The majority of the bombs were seen to burst on the targets. In a low-level machine-gun attack some enemy gun positions were silenced and casualties were inflicted.
