After a visit to Christchurch, Mrs. H. P. Kay, Albert Street, has returned to Palmerston North. Mrs. Bruce Speedy, who has been the guest of Miss D. B. Speedy, Amesbury Street, has returned to the Wairarapa. Mrs. N. O’Reilly, of Pirie Street, Palmerston North, whose death occurred recently, was born in Turaklna, 66 years ago, her parents having come from England about 1870. Her father worked on the railways and Mrs. O’Reilly was educated at the Wanganui Convent. She came to Palmerston North about 25 years ago. Her husband, who predeceased his wife by about seven years, was wellknown in Palmerston North, having kept the Terrace End Hotel for many years. Mrs. O’Reilly leaves a family of three, Mrs. J. Bullield (Ferguson Street), Mrs. I. Jewett (Pirie Street), and Trooper M. J. O’Reilly, who went overseas with the Second Echelon. There are also five grandchildren.
