School Swimming

The district schools' swimming- sports for boys and girls under 14, arranged by the Terrace End Swimming Club, were held on Saturday under excellent conditions in the Ten-ace End baths. The starter was Mr. H. G. Pringle and the judges Messrs Andrews, Redshaw and Jones. The schools are-ehown as follows: W.E., West End; R., Russell Street; M., Marist; 1., Intermediate; Boys’ High School; T., Technical; P., Pahiatua; T.E., Ten-ace End; H., Hokowhitu. The girls’ cup was won by Pahiatua with 25 points, and the boys’ by Marist with 20. Convent School Swimming At the Convent School Swimming Sports, the junior shampionship was won by Margaret Doogan with Lois Rodgers 2 and Bernice Cheetham and Patricia Doogan, equal 3. The senior championship was won by Marie Doogan with June White 2 and Madeline McKegg 3.
