S.H.B. Rabbit Board
The monthly meeting of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board was held in the secretary’s office on Thursday, Mr. A. McLeod presiding over a full attendance. The foreman reported that during the month, a total of 874 rabbits had been destroyed by seven employees. Up to the present he had been unsuccessful in .finding a suitable man for the Ngapaeruvu-Mangatoro district, but was doing everything possible to get someone for this block. The secretary reported that the imposition of the 10 per cent, penalty ou rates unpaid after the 15th March had been advertised and notices sent to ratepayers who had not yet paid their rates. Accounts totalling £246 19s were passed for payment.
