Building Society
At the monthly meeting of the Directors of the Palmerston North Co-operative Building Society, Mr. H. Findlay Wilson presided. Mr. A. H. M. Wright of Wellington, was successful in a ballot held for the return of subscriptions in No. 7 Group. In Group 8 ballot for free of interest loans, Mrs. M. M. Ellison, Wellington £2OO, and Mr. J. Thorp, Wanganui, £2OO, were the successful shareholders. Business was conducted In all Groups and a number of loans approved after consideration of the Valuer’s reports, and one of £SOO placed on deposit at the shareholder’s request. The ActingSecretary reported that the enquiry for shares in Group 12 has been well maintained.
