Mrs. H. M. Beatson presided at the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the W.D.F.U. on Friday afternoon. There was a good attendance and Miss Boddy reported on the recent provincial meeting, ■while arrangements were made for the branch's annual meeting to be held next month.

The last meeting of the financial year of the Feilding Plunket Bociety was held this week, Mrs. A. McCorkindale presiding. The secretary (Mrs. K. Hunt) reported on the wool question and reiterated the necessity of having the books signed again by the nurse before applying for wool. Regarding the supply of oranges, it was stated that there would be no more until May. It was decided to pay £SO into the building fund, and a recommendation was made for £SO to be set aside for renovations to the rooms. The society conducted a very successful shop day on Friday, over £2S being added to the funds.
