Pahiatua's Fine Patriotic Collection
Per Press Association. PAHIATUA, Mar. 7. After but one week of intensive collecting culminating in a monster gala carnival yesterday' and a dance Just night, Puhiatua exceeded its quota of £3400 for the 1943 patriotic appeal. Over £I2OO resulted from yesterday’s carnival collection and such a large sum within a week is a record for the district.
