America’s New Tank Buster
Received Monday, 11.35 p.m. DETROIT, March 1. General Motors are now producing a powerful tank destroyer equal to anything the Germans have yet placed in battle. The new land cruiser is called the M 10. It has a lower silhouette than a tank but a full track. It is welded, heavily armoured, has great manoeuvrability and speed and a terrific fire power. Details of its big gun are secret but army officials said it was able to trade blows on an even basis with the 88-millimetre weapons found" in most of the German tanks in North Africa. The destroyer has already been tested in battle and performed excellently.
