At the Feilding Golf Club ’s annual meeting on Saturday niglit a resolution of sympathy with Mr. A. H. Atkinson in his illness was carried. At the meeting of the Oroua County Council the question of nominating a representative on the district Rehabilitation Committee was discussed when it was decided to nominate the Mayor of Feilding, Mr. T. L. Seddpn. Pte. Norman Shelton, of Marton, andformerly of Feilding, was last week the guest of the Zone Patriotic Committee, of Marton, when eulogistic references were made of the active part lie had played in the community spirit of the town. He received several presentations. Donations towards the cost of parcels for soldiers overseas are invited by the Feilding Patriotic Committee which hopes to obtain sufficient money to meet its commitments with the next despatch of parcels to be called for shortly. Those who desire to purchase 10s coupons may still do so on application to the-Society through either Mr. C. H. Tate or Mr. Iv. M. Little.
