Topical Pars ABOUT DRESS FABRICS Blouses are again a leading fashion feature, but it is sometimes hard to get just what you want to make them from. Our silk section is showing a particularly suitable Celanese crepe, in cream and ivory. This fabric is very dependable, does not slip at the seams, and washes without the slightest trace of shrinkage. 30 inch Women are usually seldom bound by convention when it can be proved that a new material has properties that can do a new job. This is particularly noticeable in their attitude toward the Synthetics, which are now produced in such charming weaves. These feel like cashmere and have colours rich in depth. They tailor well, wash excellently, and do not crease. We would like you to inspect our ranges of this likeable material. A British crepe-de-chine comes to us in eight of the sweetest shades we have seen for many a long day. They have been tested for colour fastness, and would make perfect little blouses, as well as being desirable for underwear. When you see the quality, you will bo very pleased with them. A high grade fabric—l2/6 yd.—and worth it, to-day. With so many girls serving in the forces the demand for khaki blouses has become quite acute. We suggest that you make your own from creaseresisting synthetic. There are two very suitable good qualities for this purpose, one at 5/11 yd., and the other a very line light weight at 7/6. Both are 36in. (1 coupon per yd.) and will stand any amount of washing. There's always a steady demand for black and navy silk materials, particularly in the better grades. You will be interested to know that our stocks are still holding out in these popular shades, so if you want a frock of either in the smartest of weaves we have them from 6/11 to 13/11 yd.
