The decision of the full Cabinet that Australian women are to be conscripted for military service has been announced by the Prime Minister (Mr. Curtin), states a Canberra cable. Legislation will be introduced in Parliament to amend the Defence Act to permit of a compulsory call-up of women for all auxiliary services, to begin immediately.
