Mrs. S. Trask, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. J. T. Bos worth, Fitzherbert Avenue, for a few days. At tho annual conference of tho Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union to be held in Auckland next month, among the delegates will be Mrs. W. G. Clark (St. Andrew’s branch, Palmerston North) and Mrs. R. Warnock (St. Davids branch). There was a pleasing incident at the Happiness Club birthday ball on Saturday evening when Miss M. Peters, daughter of a committee member who is on leave in her home town from active service, was personally presented with the Christmas parcel that might otherwise have had to bo posted to her from the club. The president, Mrs. Carne, offered their guest tho good wishes of the club in the service she was doing.
