Mr. Wendell Willkie presented a resolution to a Republican ixationai Committee meeting calling for a four-point war programme, mciuuing opposition to any negotiated peace, lull prosecution of the war regardless of cost in wealth, energy and human life, extension ox freedom throughout tno world, and the assumption of international responsibilities alter the war. Discussing the resolution, Mr. Willkie declared that the Kepuolican Party, ii it hoped to remain an effective instrumental party in government, must not only repudiate completely and aosoiutely the doctrines of isolationism, Out must also, with courage and imagination, recognise that America after tne war must help lead the peoples of the world to peace and democracy.
